Navy Elevated Causeway System-Modular (ELCAS-M) in the background, back loading a U.S. Army Landing Craft Utility (LCU) vessel with military supply containers, the 'Gator Bees' of Amphibious Construction Battalions One and Two lend a hand in beach management with a rough terrain cargo handler (RTCH). Camp Patriot's joint-service team has been key in the movement of military supplies required to complete combat missions in Iraq, and is home to over 3,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen, and Coast Guardsmen forward deployed since January 10th, 2003. Camp Patriot, with the help of the ELCAS(M), is a primary backload point in the North Arabian Gulf following the recently announced completion of combat operations, and the start of the rebuilding phase of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
