English: Al Udeid, Qatar (May 14, 2003) -- Aviation Storekeeper 1st Class Jeff Matson, from Arlington, Wash., performs pre-flight checks under the instruction of Avionics Technician 1st Class Ernie Johnson, from Lamar, Ark., in the cockpit of a DC-9 "Sky Train" aircraft. Both airmen are mobilized reservists assigned to the "Islanders" of Reserve Fleet Logistics Support Squadron Six One (VR-61). VR-61 is homeported at Whidbey Island, Wash., and was called up for duty in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, the multi-national coalition effort to liberate the Iraqi people, eliminate Iraq's weapons of mass destruction and end the regime of Saddam Hussein.
