English: 7th Fleet Area of Responsibility (AOR) Mar. 21, 2004 - Aviation Boatswain’s Mate Airman Billy Kennedy clears one of four catapults on the ship’ flight deck of its holdback bar, as the flight deck makes its transition from launch mode to recovery mode aboard the aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). Kitty Hawk is currently underway in the 7th Fleet area of responsibility (AOR), and is the U.S. Navy’s only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, operating from Yokosuka, Japan.
