English: 7th Fleet Area of Responsibility (AOR) Apr. 13, 2004 - Hull Maintenance Technician Fireman Earl Perkins, of Huffman, Texas, relaxes his gas mask during a chemical, biological, radiation (CBR) general quarters (GQ) drill aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). Routine GQ training helps the crew to maintain an effective battle-ready posture. Kitty Hawk is under way in the 7th Fleet AOR and is the United State’s only permanently forward-deployed aircraft carrier, operating from Yokosuka, Japan.
