(Jun. 6, 2004) – A photo of former President Ronald Reagan and First Lady Nancy Reagan rests amid a sea of flowers and flags at a memorial set up at the gate of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Center for Public Affairs. Reagan, who served as president from 1981-1988, passed away June 5 in Santa Monica, Calif. His philosophy of “peace through strength” helped end the decades-long Cold War.
