Description
English: Camp Lejuene, N.C. (Jun. 16, 2004) - Seaman Somaya Tolbert, assigned to Beach Master Unit Two (BMU-2), directs a British Land Rover off of Landing Craft Utility (LCU) 1656. The LCUs supported the invasion of "Kartuna," a mock enemy country, by delivering support equipment from U.S. and British ships off the North Carolina Coast during Operation Blinding Storm. The LCUs are participating in Operation Blinding Storm, a multi-nation amphibious exercise conducted off the Atlantic Coast. More than 30,000 members of the military and 60 ships from nine countries - including the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Peru, Canada and Norway are participating in the joint exercise.
