English: Sattahip, Thailand (July 8, 2004) - Royal Thai Marines storm ashore from a U.S. Navy Landing Craft Air Cushioned (LCAC) during an amphibious raid event as part of the Thailand phase of exercise Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT). The LCAC is manned by Sailors from Assault Craft Unit Five (ACU-5) Detachment Western Pacific and is embarked aboard amphibious dock landing ship USS Fort McHenry (LSD 43). CARAT is a regularly scheduled series of bilateral military training exercises with several Southeast Asia nations designed to enhance the interoperability of the respective sea services.
