English: Arabian Gulf (Sept. 22, 2004) - Electronics Technician 3rd Class Veronica Grooms of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., checks the electronic output signal levels on a NATO module in Combat System Six (CS-6) aboard the conventionally powered aircraft carrier USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67). CS-6 is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the ships NATO Sea Sparrow missile systems, Close In Weapons System (CWIS) and the Primary Fire Control radar tracking system. Kennedy and embarked Carrier Air Wing Seventeen (CVW-17) are currently deployed to the 5th Fleet area of responsibility (AOR) in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). Units in the Kennedy Carrier Strike Group are working closely with Multi-National Corps-Iraq and Iraqi forces to bring stability to the sovereign government of Iraq.
