English: Pacific Ocean (Feb. 15, 2005) - Aviation Warfare Systems Operator 2nd Class John Ferris, assigned to Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron Fourteen (HS-14), left, talks to Coming Officer, USS Cowpens (CG 63), Capt. John Source, in the cabin of an SH-60F Seahawk as their helicopter lands on the flight deck aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). HS-14's mission is to provide close-in undersea warfare support to the ship, as well as search-and-rescue operations and air transportation. Kitty Hawk demonstrates power projection and sea control as the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier, operating from Yokosuka, Japan.
