The fair is held in conjunction with an awards ceremony that recognizes excellence in engineering, both in the government and private sector. Cmdr. Curbeam spoke to students who are part of a pre-college program that encourages students to pursue technical careers. Navy Recruiting and Navy Diversity Directorate sponsored a booth at the career fair to encourage bright young students to consider a career in the Navy, in fields such as Nuclear Engineering.
