English: Pacific Ocean (Mar. 14, 2005) - Aviation Boatswains Mate 3rd Class Justin Dean performs a Force Systems Icing Inhibiter test to determine how much water is in the fuel aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70). This test determines if the fuel will freeze while an aircraft is flying at high altitudes. The Carl Vinson Strike Group is currently on deployment in the Western Pacific. USS Carl Vinson will end its deployment with a homeport shift to Norfolk, Va., and will conduct a three-year refuel and complex overhaul.
