English: San Diego (July 18, 2005) – Crew members aboard the Ohio-class fleet ballistic missile submarine USS Alabama (SSBN 731) welcome Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) Midshipmen for an overnight orientation of the submarine community. The Midshipmen are in San Diego participating in the summer Career Orientation and Training for Midshipmen (CORTRAMID) program, which exposes them to the Navy’s surface, submarine and aviation warfare communities as well as Marine Corps amphibious warfare. CORTRAMID goal is to guide Midshipmen in deciding which career warfare communities to apply for. U.S. Navy photo by Photographer’s Mate 1st Class Daniel N. Woods (RELEASED) |
