English: Annapolis, Md. (Oct. 8, 2005) - U.S. Naval Academy Midshipmen kicker Joey Bullen (39) watches his game winning field goal pass through the goal posts with 4/10ths of a second left in the game against Air Force as Falcon defender Carson Bird (2) rolls out of the play. The field goal, held by Brian Hampton (3), gave the Midshipmen the win over the Falcons 27-24 at Navy-Marine Corps Stadium. The victory gives Navy (2-2) a good opportunity to retain the Commander-in-Chief's Trophy, awarded to the team with the best record in games between the three major service academies. Navy won it in 2003 and 2004, and will retain the trophy unless winless Army beats Air Force and Navy.U.S. Navy photo by Damon J. Moritz (RELEASED) |
