English: Jacksonville, Fla. (Dec. 09, 2005) - Rear Adm. David Architzel attends the decommissioning ceremony for the “Diamond Cutters” of Sea Control Squadron 30 (VS-30). The Diamond Cutters were disestablished as part of the S-3B Sundown and was the first East Coast S-3B squadron disestablished. VS-30 has set the standard for aviation safety and tactical excellence for not only the S-3 community, but the for the entire U.S. Navy. In the ever evolving world of naval aviation, VS-30 has helped keep the S-3B Viking on the cutting edge by adapting to a changing enemy threat and incorporating new weapons and technology.
