Image title | During the month of March 2006 U.S. Marines of the 5th ANGLICO (Air Naval Gunfire Liason Company) stationed on Okinawa, Japan, Marine Corps Base S.D. Butler, Camp Hansen deployed to South Korea, Camp Kimpo, near the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) to learn Mountain Warfare skills from the 2nd R.O.K (Republic of Korea) Marine Division Rangers, Mountain Training Instructors.
The South Koreans taught the ANGLICO Marines useful skills that will help them if they ever go to war in a mountain environment; such as rope repelling, knots, survival items and how to use them, camouflage tactics, plus specific physical training tailored to helping the Marines become conditioned to hiking in mountains.
