Chris Swanson assigned to Carrier Airborne Early Warning One One Five (VAW-115) poses with a young Japanese boy, whom he lent his helmet and flight gear to, on a tour of the flight deck aboard the conventionally-powered aircraft carrier USS Kitty Hawk (CV 63). Tours of Kitty Hawk are conducted to raise awareness of the 7th Fleet mission and the importance of forward-deployed naval forces. While in port Sailors will have a chance to sightsee, shop, enjoy recreational activities and participate in community relation projects. Currently in port, Kitty Hawk demonstrates power projection and sea control as the U.S. Navy's only forward-deployed aircraft carrier.
