Michael Gilday, commander of Destroyer Squadron 7, for acts of heroism and outstanding dedication to his duties while attached to Task Force 405th Civil Affairs Battalion. The Bronze Star is a U.S. Armed Forces individual military decoration, which is awarded to service members who have performed acts of bravery. It is the fourth highest combat award and the 9th highest military award in the order of precedence of military decorations.
