English: GULF OF OMAN (Nov. 19, 2008) Interior Communications Electrician 3rd Class Daniel Whittington uses a sighting pole to align the crosshairs of the flight deck's centerline camera aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71). The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier and embarked Carrier Air Wing (CVW) 8 are on deployment in the 5th Fleet area of responsibility and are focused on reassuring regional partners of the United States' commitment to security, which promotes stability and global prosperity.
