English: Sekondi, Ghana (Feb. 26, 2009) Chief Engineman Edward Young, left, Equipment Operator 1st Class Thomas Bonacci and Hull Technician 2nd Class Thomas Wojcinski train Ghanaian and Mozambiquen sailors to fix small boat out board engines aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Nashville (LPD 13) during Africa Partnership Station (APS) 2009. APS is an international initiative developed by Naval Forces Europe and Naval Forces Africa Which aims to work cooperatively with U. S. and international partners to improve maritime safety and security on the African continent. Nashville is focused on supporting the APS strategy in West and Central Africa.
