English: MIDDLE EAST (May 17, 2009) Vice Adm. Bill Gortney, commander of U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, presents a gift to the King of Bahrain, His Majesty the King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, aboard the aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) during an historic port visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. Eisenhower is the first Nimitz-class aircraft carrier to dock at the newly-completed Khalifa bin Salman Port. The Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group is on a scheduled deployment deployment to the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility supporting Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom as well as maritime security operations.
