English: PACIFIC OCEAN (Aug. 25, 2010) Airman Nick Green mans the nozzle of an Aqueous Film Forming Foam (AFFF) hose, as Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) Airman Fawn Crawford and Damage Controlman Fireman Christopher Powel support the hose during a systems check on the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76). AFFF is used for shipboard firefighting. The foam floats on flaming liquid and smothers fires. Ronald Reagan is underway in the Pacific Ocean.
