Iwo Jima is off the coast of Panama supporting Continuing Promise 2010, a humanitarian and civic assistance mission. The assigned medical and engineering staff embarked aboard Iwo Jima are working with partner nation's teams to provide medical, dental, veterinary and engineering assistance to several different nations to improve mutual understanding of current medical issues and technology.
