English: SAN DIEGO (Oct. 18, 2010) Sailors walk the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) before the ship's Board of Inspection and Survey (INSURV). Carl Vinson is preparing to get underway to conduct INSURV, a five-day ship-wide evaluation to gauge material readiness and determine whether the ship is to deploy.
