English: NEW AMSTERDAM, Guyana (Oct. 26, 2010) Capt. Thomas Negus, center left, commodore of Continuing Promise 2010, and the Prime Minister of Guyana Samuel Hinds, center, arrive at Corentyne School for a ceremony closing the Guyana phase of the Continuing Promise 2010 mission. The multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7) is anchored off the coast of Guyana conducting a Continuing Promise 2010 humanitarian civic assistance mission. The assigned medical and engineering staff embarked aboard Iwo Jima are working with partner nation teams to provide medical, dental, veterinary and engineering assistance in eight countries.
