English: VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. (Sept. 23, 2011) The engines of F/A-18 Hornets assigned to the U.S. Navy flight demonstration squadron, the Blue Angels, are powered up for takeoff at the 2011 Naval Air Station Oceana Air Show. This is the 53rd anniversary of the air show, which is a celebration of the Centennial of Naval Aviation with both military and civilian performers in vintage and modern aircraft.
