Porträt Paul Johann Anselm von Feuerbach (1775-1833), Jurist udn bekannter Strafrechtler. Feuerbach ist als Nagel mit Porträtkopf dargestellt. Neben dem Titel "Präsident Feuerbach" und einem Vers unter dem Bild, ist der linke Rand der Zeichnung mit einem großen "N" (Bleistift) versehen. - nachträglich mit einem Kreuz hinter dem Titel/Namen versehen [Bildunterschrift] Dies ist kein Nagel ohne Kopf/ Was wählst Du, Buckel oder Kropf?Biografisches Paul Johann Anselm von Feuerbach (1775–1833) war Jurist und ein bekannter Strafrechtler. Er studierte in Jena zuerst Philosophie, dann Jura und wurde in beiden Fächern promoviert (1795 und 1799). Schließlich nahm er an seiner alten Universität auch eine Lehrtätigkeit u.a. in Strafrecht, Allgemeiner Rechtslehre und Hermeneutik auf. 1800 wurde er zum Professor ernannt und erhielt einen Schöppenstuhl in Jena, folgte 1801 allerdings einem Ruf nach Kiel, später nach Landshut und München. 1808 wurde er dort Mitglied des Geheimen Rats, 1814 zweiter Präsident des Appellationsgerichts in Bamberg und schließlich 1817 Präsident des Appellationsgerichts in Ansbach. Feuerbach heiratete 1798 in Jena Eva Wilhelmine Marie (1774–1852), die Tochter des Dornburger Schlossvogts Ernst Friedrich Wilhelm Tröster. Aus dieser Ehe stammt auch der gemeinsame Sohn Joseph Anselm von Feuerbach (1798–1851). Bekannt ist Paul Johann Anselm von Feuerbach vor allem als Begründer der neueren Strafrechtsdogmatik und Kriminalpsychologie wie auch als Schöpfer des bayerischen Strafgesetzbuches von 1813.
