Description
English: Living specimen of Lister's river snail (Viviparus contectus), a species of freshwater snail with an operculum and a gill. Estimated height: 3.5 cm.
Deutsch: Ein lebendes Exemplar der Spitzen Sumpfdeckelschnecke (Viviparus contectus); Gehäusehöhe schätzungsweise 3,5 cm. Gut zu erkennen ist der Horndeckel, mit dem diese Süßwasser-Kiemenschnecke ihr Gehäuse verschließen kann. Für das Foto wurde das Tier kurz aus dem Weiher entnommen und auf ein Stück Treibholz gelegt. In Deutschland gilt die Art als "gefährdet".
