Tableau van 2 aardewerk tegels met tinglazuur, voorstellende een tulp, vermoedelijk gemaakt in Hoorn, ca. 1630-1650 Heel bijzonder is deze reeks tegels die in Hoorn gevonden is, waarbij de tulpen over een hoogte van twee tegels geschilderd zijn. Deze tegels zijn in eerste instantie in 1954 gevonden in de afgesloten kelder van een huis aan de Grote Oost aldaar, waar ze ooit herplaatst waren. De kwaliteit van de schildering gaat zo ver uit boven gebruikelijke decoratieve of naïeve dat we kunnen veronderstellen dat deze tegels voor één enkele, speciale opdracht zijn gemaakt. |
