Het Kasteel van Breda laat de historische relatie tussen Breda en het huis van Oranje Nassau zien. In 1198 stond op de plaats van het huidige kasteel een burcht. Er is in de loop der jaren voortdurend gesloopt en gebouwd. Sinds 1828 heeft de Koninklijke Militaire Academie (KMA) het kasteel in gebruik. Naast het Kasteel van Breda ligt het stadspark Valkenberg. Tot 1812 deed dit park dienst als kasteeltuin voor de Heren van Breda. Het park was van origine een echt bos met hoge bomen. In de 17e eeuw verdween dat karakter door de aanleg van een tuin naar Franse stijl. The Castle of Breda had an important role in the history of the House of Orange. Nowadays it houses the Royal Military Academy. Il Castello di Breda è stato molto importante nella storia della Casa di Oranje Nassau. Oggi ospita l'Accademia Militare Reele.
