Deutsch: Die Prescenyklause bei Weichselboden in der steiermärkischen Stadtgemeinde Mariazell.
Sie befindet sich ca. 1,5 km flussabwärts von Weichselboden an der Salza im Naturpark Eisenwurzen. Die Klause, einst größte Flussklause Österreichs, wurde in den 1840er Jahren unter der Leitung des Forstmeisters Presceny als Stauwerk zwischen zwei mächtigen Felsmassiven errichtet und besteht aus einer 47,5 m langen und bis zu 15 m dicken Staumauer mit drei Durchflussöffnungen. Durch das Öffnen der Klause stand kurzfristig ein rd. einen Meter höheres Triftwasser für die Flößer zur Verfügung. 1969 erwarb die Stadt Wien die Klause und nach der Löschung der Triftrechte im Jahr 1975 wurde die Klause saniert und dient jetzt als Stauwehr für das von 1985 bis 1987 errichtete „Kraftwerk Prescenyklause“. |
