Description
English: The White-bellied Erpornis (White-bellied Yuhina) (Erpornis zantholeuca) is a small, crested bird, often found in mixed flocks across a variety of forested habitats. Its upperparts are yellowish-green, and its underparts are dingy gray, featuring yellow undertail coverts and a whitish throat. This bird predominantly forages for invertebrates in the upper layers of vegetation, from where its distinctive “nay nay” call is frequently heard. The White-bellied Erpornis is commonly seen in groups and regularly joins mixed-species feeding flocks. This bird was photographed at Mahananda, West Bengal, India
