Summary

Description
English: The White-browed Scimitar-Babbler is a medium-sized babbler distinguished by its slightly curved yellow bill. It bears a resemblance to the Streak-breasted Scimitar-Babbler but can be identified by its clean white breast instead of a streaked one. This species typically forages low in the undergrowth, at mid-levels, or on the ground, often joining mixed flocks with other babblers and laughingthrushes.

This bird is found from the upper lowlands to mountainous regions, inhabiting forests with dense undergrowth, shrubby edges, and grassy areas. Its vocal repertoire is extensive, including whoops, rattles, and hooting. Like other scimitar-babblers, pairs often engage in duets.

This bird was photographed at Mahananda, west Bengal, India
