Description
Deutsch: Das „Corona-Denkmal der Hoffnung“ am Heldenplatz im 1. Wiener Gemeindebezirk Innere Stadt.
Das von der Essl Foundation (Martin & Gerda Essl) gestiftete Denkmal wurde von den Künstlern Emmerich Weissenberger & Nora Ruzsics geschaffen. Ursprünglich war die etwa 5 Meter hohe Lemniskaten-Skulptur aus Kiefernholz (geflammt, geölt und gewachst) ab dem 4. August 2020 in der Stadt Salzburg aufgestellt: [1]. Später wurde sie für ein Jahr auf den Heldenplatz übertragen und am 12. November 2021 im Beisein des Präsidenten des Nationalrats Wolfgang Sobotka feierlich enthüllt: [2].
