Description
Deutsch: Moorenweis, Ortsteil Windach, Kirche St. Johann Baptist: das Deckengemälde im Langhaus zeigt die Szene, nachdem Elisabeth ihr Kind geboren hat und es am 8. Tag beschnitten werden soll, wobei es auch seinen Namen erhalten sollte. Alle Nachbarn meinten, es solle nach seinem Vater Zacharias heißen, Elisabeth aber sagte, nein, er soll Johannes heißen. Das verblüffte alle sehr, da in der ganzen Verwandtschaft kein Johannes vorkam. Da fragten sie den Vater Zacharias (der immer noch stumm war), wie das Kind heißen solle, und er forderte eine Tafel an, auf welche er dann schrieb: „Er heißt Johannes!“. Nach diesem Bekenntnis verlor er die Stummheit, und er verkündete: „Du, Kindlein wirst ein Prophet des Höchsten heißen. Du wirst vor dem Herrn hergehen, dass Du seinen Weg bereitest.“
