The poster cites a paragraph quoted from Mai Xiande's notes on studying Chairman Mao Zedong's writings:

"I heartily that studying Chairman Mao's works is indispensable for a revolution. Only when guided by the thought of Chairman Mao will we not go awry. Only when the thought of Chairman Mao arms our mind will we be able to do the revolutionary work well, to make less mistake, and to surmount any difficulties. (我深深体会到，要革命不学毛主席著作不行。只有以毛主席的思想为指针，才不会走错路。只有用毛泽东思想武装自己的头脑，才能把革命工作干好，才会少犯错误，战胜一切困难。)
