Summary edit

Description

Item 168075, City Light Photographic Negatives (Record Series 1204-01), Seattle Municipal Archives.

English: Worker at North Sub Rectifier Station, Seattle, Washington, 1954. Although there were several places connected to Seattle City Light known as "north substation", this is the substation on NE 75th just west of Roosevelt Way NE in Seattle. "sparky ross" on Flickr writes that the substation on 75th is "the only one north that has a rectifier station, which is for the electric bus system (which is quite smaller on the north end than it used to be)."
