Description
Deutsch: Wuppertal, Wohnquartier Ostersbaum, Schleswiger Str. 20, Relief eines Adlers mit ausgebreiteten Schwingen, der Rumpf annähernd vollplastisch ausgeführt, überhöht durch eine Krone, die von zwei der sechs in Voluten auslaufenden Zweige gehalten wird, die das Relief an der zentralen Stelle der Fassade, im Mittelrisalit über dem von zwei Säulen flankierten Fenster der Beletage, aufspannen. Die Krone evoziert den Gedanken einer Translation des Wappens des Deutschen Kaiserreichs, in dessen Blütenzeit (1905) das Haus erbaut wurde, aus dem Bereich der Heraldik in den Bereich der (dekorativen) Skulptur.
