Description
Deutsch: Wuppertal, Quartier Oberbarmen-Schwarzbach, Wupperufer zwischen Berliner Str. 56 und 62, Schleusenbauwerk am Einlass des ehem. Mühlengrabens. Der mittig im nun trockenen Schleusenkanal plazierte Pfeiler ist Teil eines Sperrbauwerks, das dem Hochwasserschutz dient. In die vor den Springkrautzweigen sichtbare nutenartige Schlitzung und deren Pendant in der gegenüberliegenden Spundwand der Wehr-Sperrmauer können Bohlen eingelassen werden. Diese Möglichkeit besteht auch auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite des Pfeilers. Damit kann wahlweise die gesamte Schleusenanlage hochwassersicher verschlossen oder die Durchflussmenge halbiert werden.
