Español: Arco del Sexto Estado y Victimas de la Revolucion de 1897. Inaugurado el 13 de Septiembre del 2007. Situado en la entrada principal de la ciudad de Quetzaltenango, cerca del monumento a la marimba. En las fachadas del monumento puede leerse: El Amor a la libertad los hizo heroes, el Odio a Los Tiranos los hizo Martires. En la Parte superior se coloco la estaua del "Leon" antiguo simbolo de Quetzaltenango, elaborado a principios de 1900. El diseño del arco original de 1898 fue hecho por Alberto Porta, el diseño del actual monumento fue hecho por el Arquitecto quetzalteco Roberto Henry Mull
English: Quetzaltenango, Guatemala. "Arch of the Sixth State" (a reference to the history of the region in the Central American Federation). Inaugurated in September of 2007, it is at the main entrance to the city near the marimba monument. In the front of the building says:"The love for the freedom made them heroes, and the hate to the tyrants made them martyrs". |
