Description Ye old kings Head was built in the 16th century although exact dates are unsure, 1547 has been suggested. The Court of Attachments however, was held here in 1713. It has had many famous visitors including Charles Dickens who based his Maypole Inn on the property in Barnaby Rudge. In 2010 the Inn was bought by Sir Alan Sugar of "The Apprentice" fame and it is currently a Turkish Restaurant.
