Description
English: Saturday evening, August 21, 1948 at about 10.20 pm, near the railway bridge of Bedoel, on the line connecting Bandung and Purwakarta, a freight train was derailed as a result of sabotage by a gang. The two locomotives, a passenger car and a tank car crashed into a ravine approximately 15 meters deep. Five people were killed and seven injured, including the engine driver and two firemen. The accident, which happened about five kilometers before Purwakarta, is due to the fact that the rails had been broken up over a great distance. An overview of the havoc.

Beschrijving : Zaterdagavond, 21 augustus 1948 om ongeveer 22.20 uur is in de nabijheid van de spoorbrug van Bedoel op het traject tussen Bandoeng en Poerwakarta een goederentrein door sabotage van een bende tot ontsporing gebracht. De twee locomotieven, een personenwagen en een ketelwagen stortten in een circa 15 meter diep ravijn. Vijf personen werden daarbij gedood en zeven gewond, waaronder de machinist en twee stokers. Het ongeluk, dat ongeveer vijf kilometer voor Poerwakarta gebeurde, is te wijten aan het feit, dat de rails over grote afstand waren opgebroken. Een overzicht van de grote ravage
