State names edit

This image shows the states that emerged after dissolution of Serbian Empire in the 14th century:

Please, do not revert it before discussion. --Mladifilozof (talk) 22:29, 12 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fine, then please present your sources for these names. PANONIAN (talk) 11:41, 20 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Now, I made an improved version of this map and I researched some data about names of the states, so there are 3 important things here:

  • 1. There is no a single source (instead of English Wikipedia article) that mention "Kingdom of Prilep".
  • 2. Rulers of Zeta had title "duka", which could be translated in several ways, not only as "principe", so it is more accurate to be "Realm of Zeta" instead "Principality of Zeta".
  • 3. Although names like "Moravian Serbia" or "Principality of Velbazhd" could be used as well, it is important to mention names of the rulers, since these borders existed only during the reign of these rulers. PANONIAN (talk) 23:41, 13 January 2010 (UTC)Reply

Map reverts edit

VízPart, please explain why you reverting image to other version? PANONIAN (talk) 23:15, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

The previous version has better coloring. VízPart (talk) 23:38, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
So what? According to the policy of this site, if uploader or author of the file does not agree with your changes then you have to upload your "better coloring" version as new separate file, not over my work. PANONIAN (talk) 23:42, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
There is no over anything, it is simply an older version of the same map with better coloring it is an improvement over the other verison. VízPart (talk) 23:46, 8 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
You do not understand the policy of this site. Please inform yourself about it. As for the version to which you reverted, it is not only that it is not an improvement regarding colours, but lines in it are not very precise, it is a total step backward regarding easthetics. PANONIAN (talk) 00:07, 9 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Please tell me how the colors are better in that version. An the original uploader was BokicaK with many users doing changes therefore the map is in constant improvement. If there is a rule that says that free images can be owned (isnt all image free here) I would be very surprised. But if there is one link it to me please and I will read it. VízPart (talk) 00:17, 9 March 2010 (UTC)Reply
Well, then read the description of "original upload" of BokicaK where he wrote "Author=PANONIAN" - I created that file in another Wiki project and BokicaK only moved it here. PANONIAN (talk) 00:20, 9 March 2010 (UTC)Reply

Serbia-Wallachia border edit

Borders in this map are same as in "Geokarta" historical atlas listed in "References" section on map's page. Note that this map show Moravian Serbia in the time of Prince Lazar, not Serbian Despotate from later time periods. According to this same atlas, Serbian Despotate in the time of Stefan Lazarević had border as in Olahus's version, but that is border from another time period, not from time period that this map represents.
