Speculation re origin & likeness

edit

Polish museum aurhorties have identified this as a portrait of King Eric the Pomeranian. That's all we know. I have removed recent speculation based on a POV interpretaion of a brief note on it in a Swedish history book, which looked more like conjecture than anything which would negate the museum's assessment. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 00:13, 26 May 2017 (UTC)Reply

Important for clarity in this: in what way do you find it to be POV? We know that it's at least not fully a likeness, since contemporary witnesses described Erik as having "redyellowish" hair, which this depiction lacks. Regards, flinga (talk) 15:47, 10 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Polish museum authorities have identified this as a portrait of King Eric the Pomeranian. I would tend to trust them more than the one ancient decscription which you cling to. If you do not respect Polish museum authorities, that's your prerogative (it's called POV). Swedes usually don't respect Polacks much, in my experience, so I'm not surprised if so. --SergeWoodzing (talk) 03:41, 11 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
