Update?

edit

I think that areas controlled by Tuareg and Tubu militia should be depicted separatelly, per: http://news.bbcimg.co.uk/media/images/81052000/gif/_81052882_libya_strikes_624v2.gif PANONIAN (talk) 22:29, 20 February 2015 (UTC)Reply

Another source for same thing: https://pietervanostaeyen.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/2000px-libya.png PANONIAN (talk) 22:33, 20 February 2015 (UTC)Reply
@PANONIAN: Discuss [here] if you wish to split colours. Even if I wanted to do so unilaterally, I couldn't because the detailed map I'm working from isn't split between them, so I'd have to guess which villages are under whose control. Banak (talk) 15:47, 1 March 2015 (UTC)Reply

Islamic State and non-IS affiliated Isalmist groups

edit

The map should have distinctive coloring for Islamic State forces and non-IS affiliated Islamist militants such as those belonging to the Shura Councils of Benghazi and Derna (Ansar al-Sharia, Abu Salim Martyrs Brigade,Libya Shield 1 etc.) Obviously there should not be places for all these groups on the maps, but instead of having just 'Ansar al-Sharia' in the same color as Islamic State forces, why not have 'Mujaheddin Shura Councils' in a color separate from IS? For example, in the Syrian Civil War map, al-Nusra Front is portrayed in white. It is important for there not to be any confusion, becuase these groups have engaged in hostilities with each other, particular in the recent Battle of Derna.
