Lothian Buses: Optare Solo

English: Optare Solo buses operated by Lothian Buses. The company bought 6 of the M960 model in June 2008, bearing 08 registrations. They were assigned fleetnumbers from 35, but were later renumbered from 278 (their original numbers being assigned to the 64-reg Volvo 7900H batch delivered in Winter 2014). Seating 31, they were bought to replace the small 35-seater Alexander Dash bodied 9.0m Dennis Darts purchased in 1992. They arrived in between batches 4 and 5 of the 38-seater B7RLE / Eclipse Urban 1 single-deckers. They were initially part of the Mac Tours fleet (but not used for route services, not tours), but have since transferred to the main fleet. They have worn both the standard Harlequin livery (with Mac Tours and Lothian fleetnames, and later Classic livery (with Lothianbuses.com and later Transport for Edinburgh style Lothian Buses fleetnames, but two have also worn special allover liveries for a Standard Life contract route (one yellow, another blue).
