Lothian Buses: minor route branding

English: The various minor route branding schemes worn by buses operated by Lothian Buses.

Double-deckers edit

Plain banner - route 26 (red), route 44/44A (black), route 35 (green) edit

The first ever route branding schemes deployed by the company were on the first batches of low-floor buses delivered, which wore the original Harlequin livery. It consisted of a simple coloured band applied along the side, underneath the upper deck windows, with the main route points written on it.

edit

After a minor route change, the green branding on route 35 was dropped and replaced by a new purple scheme (on different Trident / Presidents), which used the route band in purple, but also with a roundel applied one the sides, shifting the standard fleetname down to the lower panels. The roundel also appeared on the front, beside the standard fleetname.

Single-deckers edit

Dart / Pointers - routes 22/N22 (madder) & 30/N30 (orange) edit

The simple scheme was also used on the first batches of the low-floor Dennis Dart SLF / Plaxton Pointer fleet, again on the original Harlequin. This continued with later Dart batches (with simplified Harlequin), with added writing on the front, rear and sides (toward the rear).

B7RLE / Urban 1 - route 22/N22 (madder) edit

The madder scheme was continued when that route was upgraded with the 04 & 55 registered batches of the Volvo B7RLE / Wrightbus Eclipse Urban 1 fleet. These did not however feature any writing on the front or rear.
