Lothian Buses: plain number series
English: The plain number series of route branding schemes worn by buses operated by Lothian Buses. It was rolled out as a replacement for the connect series, which comprised two schemes on the Harlequin livery base, a pink scheme for route 22 and red for route 26. A simple scheme, it only involved replacing the upper white section of Classic livery with the brand colour (keeping a small white separating band). Eventually, route numbers were added on the sides, inside a ring symbol. A third, orange scheme was later introduced when route 29 was upgraded from single to double-decker buses (replacing the single-decker's orange branding scheme, The Stock Brig, in the playing card series.)
Pink (route 22) edit
- 2009 59-registered B9TL / Gemini 2 batch 330-350 (21 buses) - a repaint of the buses which had the pink connect 22 scheme (but not the four '09 reg which also had it)

Red (route 26) edit
- 2009 09-registered B9TL / Gemini 2 batch 301-329 (29 buses) - a repaint of the buses which had the red connect 26 scheme (301-315 plain, plus the 316-325 Zoo buses), plus the four '09 reg which were pink Connect 22 (326-329). Some of the Connect 22 Zoo buses had already been repainted into standard Classic. The Zoo scheme was later re-introduced on the Classic livery, on a different ten buses (301-310).
