Template talk:CFD month header

Proposal

It happens now and then that a cfd template is removed from the category page without closing the request. The other way round happens also occasionally: someone closes a cfd request and forgets to remove the cfd template from the cat page. Therefore it would be helpful if the banner generated by this template provided an additional link to the matching cfd category (Category:CfD 2014-09 for example) so that one easily can look for possible inconsistencies. --Achim (talk) 20:03, 25 July 2015 (UTC)

Cache purge function?

Would it be possible to add a page cache purge function to this template? These CFD pages aren't displaying for me well lately. While I've figured out how to purge them manually, it might be a problem for other people too. Thanks. - Themightyquill (talk) 12:01, 17 January 2016 (UTC)

Yes, agreed, but the way you did so also creates two items ("Current requests" and "Older requests") that don't work. Is there a better way? - Themightyquill (talk) 12:12, 15 June 2020 (UTC)
