Non-standard implementation edit

This template is a non-ideal implementation. We can't use an implementation like those used by {{En}}, {{Fr}}, etc. because they rely on {{Description}}. That template relies upon the {{#language:...}} parser extension to function correctly, which in turn uses mw:Extension:CLDR, which relies upon translatewiki:CLDR, which in turn gets its data from the Unicode Consortium's Common Locale Data Repository project, which unfortunately has not yet added support for the Otomian languages. This template should be changed to use a standard implementation like the other language tag templates if official Ottoman support is added. —RP88 (talk) 03:01, 23 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Translations edit

Translation for the language name "Otomi" shown by this template are at Template:Oto/i18n. AlejandroLinaresGarcia, can you tell me the correct word for the Otomi language in Otomi itself? That should appear in the tooltip for the language tag, but currently I am using "Otomi", which I am sure is incorrect. Also, please review Template:Oto/i18n and add or change the translations of the word "Otomi". —RP88 (talk) 03:39, 23 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Return to "Oto" page.
