Public domain in non-US contries

edit

{{Edit request}} This template appears to state that such images are PD globally. This is not correct. Some laws like in the UK and EU allow such images to be copyrighted by a human who was involved in the process. See Monkey selfie which is copyright protected in Britain [1]. This Template needs to be edited to say that the images are in the public domain in the US. —አቤል ዳዊት?(Janweh64) (talk) 07:34, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Reply

Not done This needs a bigger venue (again). If you want to discuss this topic, please start a new topic @ the village pump --Hedwig in Washington (mail?) 21:59, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
Janweh64 the fact that someone claims the copyright, does not mean it exists. Unless you can show a legal ruling that says otherwise, I suspect the text of the template will remain. Effeietsanders (talk) 22:57, 1 June 2017 (UTC)Reply
